HIERARCHY – HOLARCHY
Consensus – Consent
Hierarchy – authonomy in action and authority in decision-making are structure and job-position related.
Holarchy – no individual is more important than the objective we work for as a team. Each person is qualified and responsible for the tasks (s)he has taken on.
Consensus – something everybody agrees on to accept, but nobody really wants. (Baroness Margaret Thatcher) Negotiation skills and power/influence positions are significant for the end result.
Consent – disagreements are discussed in a structure that helps the conversation towards finding a solution that works for all. 1 (wo)man, 1 voice – 1 person, 1 vote. The quality of the conversation is significant for the quality of the solution.
